Attractive cuisine from tra fish in Dong Thap

Dong Thap - 50 delicious dishes made from attractive and unique tra fish, elaborately presented, demonstrating the creativity and talent of the chefs.

On November 16, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square (Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap Province), a culinary contest of delicious dishes made from Dong Thap Pangasius took place. The contest is part of the Dong Thap Pangasius Festival 2024.

With the theme “Sublimation with delicious dishes of Dong Thap pangasius”, 29 teams from restaurants, hotels, socio-political organizations and enterprises in the pangasius industry in the Mekong Delta region brought to the competition more than 50 special dishes made from pangasius. In 90 minutes, the teams prepared and presented dishes (1 appetizer, 2 main dishes) made from pangasius and local products.

The competition is not only an opportunity for chefs to exchange and learn experiences, but also an opportunity to honor the nutritional value and brand of Vietnamese pangasius, especially Dong Thap pangasius.

Within the framework of the Festival, there are many programs such as: Art Festival with the theme "Pangasius Festival of Dong Thap Province" in 2024; opening of the Border Trade Promotion Fair; Conference to summarize the Pangasius industry in 2024 and discuss solutions to implement tasks in 2025...

This event is a continuation of the first Pangasius Festival successfully organized by the People's Committee of Dong Thap province in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2022 with the theme "Pioneering breakthrough". Pangasius is one of the five key industries in the Agricultural Restructuring Project of Dong Thap, with the strength of commercial fish farming for export.
