It is a sticky rice shop with a very strange name: Sticky rice for altars. The name of the sticky rice shop comes from the fact that in the morning, the shop sells altars and switches to selling sticky rice in the evening. Also because of the strange name, the shop attracts many curious people to try it, but later they become "addicted" because the quality of the sticky rice ensures the criteria of delicious, nutritious, and cheap.
Ms. Thuc Trang, the shop owner, shared: “Starting from a small sticky rice shop on De La Thanh Street, my aunt has been selling for 20 years. Since 2012, she has passed on the profession to my husband and I to continue selling.
In the past, people would pack up their stalls at 7pm before I started selling. Gradually, as more customers came, I rented the stall and sold from 5pm to around 6am the next morning.”

The side dishes here are very diverse, with over 20 dishes and prices ranging from 25,000 to 60,000 VND/serving. A full serving here usually includes soft braised pork, sausage, eggs, dried shrimp..., with a little braised pork sauce, served with papaya salad and cucumber to reduce the feeling of fullness.

The ingredients are carefully selected by the restaurant owners and are often sold out within the day. The “altar” sticky rice dish attracts diners on cold winter nights who must order a bowl of hot, fragrant sticky rice to warm their stomachs.
The shop not only sells sticky rice but also bread and pan-fried bread with special sauce, each with its own flavor. On a busy day, the shop sells up to a thousand servings, with people coming in and out to eat and drink busily along the small street.
Many diners rated the sticky rice as delicious and filling, reasonable price, and cheerful and attentive staff. However, some said that the restaurant needs to improve its hygiene conditions.
