Blogger Wowsung shares the reasons why Vietnamese specialty noodle versions are popular with Korean diners.

Park Woo Sung, also known to many young people as Wowsung, is a Korean food blogger and YouTuber who has lived in Vietnam for more than 10 years. A lover of food, Wowsung affirms that vermicelli is one of the delicious and easy-to-eat dishes in Vietnam.

According to Wowsung, Vietnamese cuisine not only has a variety of soup dishes such as vermicelli, pho, soup, and noodles, but also has a rich way of preparing and combining ingredients. Vermicelli alone has dozens of types for diners to choose from such as beef vermicelli, crab vermicelli, grilled pork vermicelli, mussel vermicelli...

Wowsung believes that vermicelli has a wide variety of flavors and ingredients. Screenshot

Each noodle dish has its own deliciousness: beef noodle soup is rich, crab noodle soup is sour and spicy, grilled pork noodle soup is both salty and sweet... Even depending on the region, the flavor of the noodle soup is varied to suit the taste of diners.

Vermicelli dishes are suitable for any meal of the day, creating a feeling of fullness but lightness, not as heavy as starchy dishes such as rice and sticky rice. In addition, vermicelli is often cooked with many types of vegetables, meat, and fish, so it still ensures nutrients that are not inferior to a hearty meal.

In addition, the male blogger believes that one of the main reasons why noodles are popular is because of the hot broth, suitable for eating during the cold season in Korea. Besides traditional soups, noodles are an ideal dish to help diners warm their stomachs in the winter.

As a food blogger who has had the opportunity to live in both Korea and Vietnam, Wowsung's YouTube channel currently has 200,000 followers with content revolving around exploring cuisine as well as comparing traditional cultural features between Korea and Vietnam. He is loved by many on social media platforms thanks to his handsome appearance, humorous personality and ability to speak Vietnamese fluently.
