On April 24, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that on the evening of April 25, at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo officially opened the 2026 Tourism Festival with the theme "Four seasons of sea calling". The highlight of the festival night is the art program "Cua Lo - Essence of Lam Thuy", elaborately staged, imbued with the depth of Nghe culture.

Not simply a performance program, "Tinh hoa Lam thủy" is a way of telling stories through art about the land along the Lam River - a place that accumulates historical, cultural sediments and the lives of residents for generations. From rustic folk songs to modern sea rhythms, all are connected throughout three chapters: "Deep Land", "Waves Awakening the Green Land" and "Touching Future Waves".
The large-scale music scenes recreating the fish praying festival and traditional rituals at Mai Bang Temple are presented in modern stage language, combined with large-scale sound and lighting. The participation of artists such as Phuong My Chi, Dong Hung and hundreds of actors has created an art space that is both traditional and modern.
Closing the opening night was a high-altitude fireworks display shining brightly in the sea sky, as a welcome to a new tourism season full of expectations.

The Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2026 is no longer a short-term event but is organized throughout the year with 26 cultural, sports, and tourism activities. This is a clear shift in Nghe An's tourism thinking, aiming to reduce seasonality, enhance experiences and extend the stay of tourists.
In the summer - tourist peak season, a series of events such as marathons, golf, beach sports, OCOP fairs, fireworks festivals... are deployed simultaneously. Autumn continues with sea carnivals, food festivals and Vi - Giam folk songs programs, creating cultural depth for tourism products.
Notably, winter - which is the "vagacy" of sea tourism - is being exploited for the first time with new products such as the "Cua Lo without Winter" program, Vi - Giam cultural experience, Halloween festival, Christmas and entertainment activities.
