Due to the impact of increased cold air, 8 central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Gia Lai will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms right at the beginning of the week.

According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on August 8, 3 cold air masses continue to move southward, causing the weather in the North to have rain and temperatures drop.

Currently, the Northern region is experiencing rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, the common temperature is 18-21°C.

Expanding cold air

Around the morning of March 9, the cold air mass will weakly affect the northern mountainous region. From the afternoon and night of March 9, the cold air will strengthen more strongly to the Northeast, then spread to the North Central region, most of the Northwest and the Central Central region.

Wind on land turns Northeast at level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4.

From the evening of March 9 to March 10, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air wave is commonly 15-18°C, mountainous areas in some places below 14°C.

On March 9, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have rain, scattered showers, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with thunderstorms; from March 10, rain will gradually decrease.

From March 9 to March 10, the area from Ha Tinh to eastern Gia Lai will have rain, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. In thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may occur.

Hanoi weather forecast

In Hanoi, from March 8 to the night of March 9, there will be rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. From the night of March 9 to March 10, the weather will turn cold, the lowest common temperature is 16-18°C.

Sea weather forecast

At sea, from noon and afternoon of March 9, the Gulf of Tonkin area will have Northeast wind level 5, then level 6 increase, gusts level 7-8; sea waves 1.5-2.5 m high, rough seas.

In the Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa), Northeast wind is strong at level 6, especially in the northeast at times level 7, gusting at level 8-9; sea waves are 3-5 m high, strong sea waves.

From the night of March 9, the sea area from Quang Tri to Dong Thap will have Northeast winds gradually strengthening to level 5-6, gusting to level 7-8; sea waves 1-2 m high, rough seas.
