According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather today September 13th, the tropical depression in the East Sea will approach the mainland of the Central region.
As of 7 pm tonight, the center of the tropical depression is located at about 14.7 degrees North latitude - 107.5 degrees East longitude, over the sea area of Quang Tri-Hue City, 60km east of Quang Tri, about 110km north of Hue City. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression reaches level 6, gusting to level 8.
The tropical depression is moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10 km/h. Disaster risk level: level 3 for the western area of Hoang Sa special zone, sea area from Quang Tri to Da Nang City (including Con Co special zone); coastal area of Ha Tinh-Quang Tri.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the area from Ha Tinh to the north of Quang Tri province has heavy rain of 50-100mm, in some places over 180mm; the south of Quang Tri province to Da Nang city has heavy to very heavy rain of 100-200mm, locally over 350mm.
From the night of September 13th, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri will have heavy to very heavy rain of 100-200mm, in some places over 350mm; the midland and delta areas of the Northern region, the south of Son La and Phu Tho provinces; Hue City and Da Nang City will have moderate to heavy rain of 30-60mm, locally very heavy rain over 100mm.
People and tourists in the central provinces and cities, especially the area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang City, need to proactively monitor the developments of the tropical depression, limit travel and sightseeing in coastal areas, rivers, streams, hills and mountains during heavy rain.
Vehicles operating at sea need to urgently avoid dangerous areas, comply with the instructions of functional forces and do not intentionally move when the weather becomes bad.
