Forecast from the evening of May 16-17, the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa will continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 15-30mm, locally heavy rain over 70mm.
This evening and night, the Central Highlands area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall from 15-35mm, with heavy rain in some places over 80mm.
The South Central Coast and Southern regions also experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms, with common rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 60mm.
Warning in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain in a short time may cause flooding in low-lying areas, while increasing the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly areas.
