The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (June 12) in regions across the country.
In the next 6 hours, Lam Dong province will continue to face the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides and subsidence in hilly and steep areas due to the impact of heavy rain.
Localities within the warning zone include: Bao Lam 2, Bao Lam 3, Bao Thuan, Dam Rong 1, Dam Rong 2, Dam Rong 4, Di Linh, Dong Giang, D'Ran, Ham Liem, Ham Thanh, Ham Thuan, Ham Thuan Bac, Hoa Bac, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Thang, Hong Son, Luong Son, Nam Ban Lam Ha, Nam Ha Lam Ha, Nam Nung, Ward 1 Bao Loc, Ward B'Lao, Ward Binh Thuan, Ward Cam Ly - Da Lat, Ward Lang Biang - Da Lat, Phu Son Lam Ha, Quang Khe, Quang Son, Son Dien and Ta Dung.
According to forecasts, in the late afternoon and night of June 11, the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and Southern regions will continue to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 70mm.
The meteorological agency warns that dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind are likely to occur during thunderstorms. Localized heavy rain in a short time may cause flooding in low-lying areas, while increasing the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly areas.
People in high-risk areas need to closely monitor forecast bulletins, proactively review residential areas along rivers, streams and points at risk of landslides to promptly implement preventive measures to minimize damage to people and property.
