The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updates the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 15) in regions across the country.
According to the forecast of the meteorological agency, in the next 24 to 48 hours, many areas across the country will continue to experience widespread hot weather, some places will experience intense hot weather with high temperatures and low air humidity.
From May 15 to 16, the Northern region will maintain hot weather, with intense heat in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places exceeding 37 degrees Celsius. The relative lowest humidity fluctuates around 45-50%, the hot weather time is concentrated from 11 am to 4 pm daily.
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, hot and intense heat continues to occur on a large scale. The highest temperature is commonly from 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C. The lowest humidity is commonly 45-50%.
The Southern region on May 15 has hot weather with the highest temperature commonly 35-36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is from 50-55%, the hot weather lasts from 12:00 to 16:00. On May 16, the hot weather in the Southern region tends to narrow, only locally occurring in some places with temperatures above 35 degrees C.
The meteorological agency predicts that from May 17, widespread hot weather in the North is likely to end. Meanwhile, the Central region may still continue to maintain hot weather until the end of May 17.
Due to the impact of prolonged hot weather combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas increases due to high electricity demand. In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration, exhaustion or affect health if people are exposed to the outdoors for a long time in high temperature conditions.
