The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (June 19) in regions across the country.
In the next 24 - 48 hours, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will continue to experience hot and intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places exceeding 38 degrees C. The lowest humidity during the day fluctuates from 50 - 55%.
In the Northern Delta region, hot weather is also increasing with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, some places above 37 degrees C. The lowest humidity is commonly from 55 - 60%.
The meteorological agency predicts that hot weather in the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak are likely to last for many days to come. From June 21, hot weather tends to expand to the Northern Midlands region.
Due to prolonged high temperatures combined with low air humidity, the risk of fire and explosion in residential areas increases due to a sharp increase in electricity demand. At the same time, the risk of forest fires is also high. Prolonged hot weather can also cause dehydration, exhaustion and affect health when people are exposed to the outdoors for a long time.
Besides the hot weather, in the next 6 hours, some areas of Khanh Hoa province are at risk of flash floods, landslides and subsidence at slopes and small streams.
Localities within the warning zone include: Tay Khanh Son, Tay Khanh Vinh, Trung Khanh Vinh, Bac Ai Tay, Bac Khanh Vinh, Bac Ninh Hoa, Dien Lam, Hoa Tri, Nam Khanh Vinh, Tay Ninh Hoa and Van Ninh.
