The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updates the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 23) in regions across the country.
On May 23-24, the Northern region will experience widespread hot sun, with intense hot sun in some places with the highest temperature commonly from 35-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees. The lowest humidity fluctuates around 45-50%, the hot sun concentrates from 11-17 hours.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang, the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees, in some places exceeding 38 degrees. The lowest humidity is commonly from 40-45%, the hot time lasts from 10-18 hours.
The meteorological agency believes that widespread heat in the above areas is likely to last for many days to come. The level of natural disaster risk due to heat is warned at level 1.
Due to the impact of hot weather combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas increases due to increased electricity demand. At the same time, the risk of forest fires is also at an alarming level in the coming days.
People and tourists need to note that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause dehydration, exhaustion and affect health, especially for outdoor workers and the elderly.
