The ticket to the final for the Vietnamese team was determined after the team won against Malaysia 2-0 in the second leg semi-final on the evening of August 19.
Immediately, many enthusiastic fans booked plane tickets to Thailand to watch the match and cheer for the Vietnamese team.
Mr. Ngoc Tu (Hung Yen) said that he has followed the journey of the Vietnamese team at ASEAN Cup 2026 and wants to be present at Rajamangala stadium in the first leg of the final. However, the decision was quite close to the date, causing him to quickly find a flight, and consider his travel schedule and accommodation costs in Thailand.
I know the information that the team will enter the final on the evening of August 19th, so I started looking for tickets immediately. Because the match takes place on August 22nd, the preparation time is very tight," Mr. Tu shared.
In Bangkok, there are 2 international airports, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK). Lao Dong's survey on August 20, airfares for round-trip flights 22-23.8 from Hanoi to Bangkok ranged from 4.7 - 5.5 million VND, and more expensive flights ranged from 6.9-14.5 million VND/person.

At the same time, airfares from Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok are priced from 4.5-6.7 million VND/person, the most expensive up to 23.7 million VND/person; from Da Nang - Bangkok are priced from 5.1-6.3 million VND/person, the most expensive is more than 11 million VND/person.
This price is considered not too high for fans who want to go to Thailand on a special occasion. Meanwhile, during the September 2nd holiday, the lowest airfare to Thailand from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City currently fluctuates around 10 million VND.
However, for flights with convenient flight times or ticket booking times close to the date, ticket prices can increase significantly. Some options cost up to about 11-15 million VND/round-trip ticket.
Ticket prices also vary depending on the departure point, flight time, checked baggage and ticket refund and exchange conditions. In the context that the first leg final is only a few days away, fans who want to go to Thailand need to calculate additional costs for accommodation, travel and stadium tickets.
According to a travel agency in Hanoi, the fact that the Vietnamese team won the right to enter the final created a fairly rapid demand for going to Thailand, but the time from the time of determining the opponent to the time of the match is too short for businesses to build a complete tour.
A representative of BestPrice Travel said that to organize football cheering tours, businesses need to prepare air tickets, hotel rooms, transportation, match tickets and specific schedules. Meanwhile, the first leg final takes place on August 22, only about 3 days after the Vietnamese team qualified for the final.
Time is too tight, so it is very difficult to organize a package tour to ensure enough services at reasonable prices. Businesses also need time to check and reserve services, while demand arises almost immediately after the semi-finals," this representative said.
Currently, some travel businesses are also finalizing 3-day 2-night or 2-day 1-night tours to Thailand to watch the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2026 final. However, the price ranges from about 20 million VND/person (including air tickets, hotel rooms, shuttle buses and football viewing tickets). This price is still considered very high for a short-day trip to Thailand.
According to the schedule, the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2026 final between Vietnam and Thailand will take place at 8:00 PM on August 22 at Rajamangala Stadium, Thailand. The second leg will be held in Vietnam on August 26.
