Cold air has flooded down and affected widely, forecasting bad weather in many places in the North and Central regions, with prolonged rain.

According to the cold air forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on November 19, the cold air is getting stronger.

The North and North Central regions have experienced rain and showers - a clear sign of an intensified rainy weather.

Strong winds are also recorded at many coastal stations: Bach Long Vy has northeast wind level 7, sometimes level 8, gust level 9; Hon Ngu wind level 6, gust level 9; Con Co gio level 6, gust level 8; Ly Son wind level 6, sometimes level 7, gust level 9. These are signals showing the strong impact of cold air on the weather at sea and on land.

Weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours, cold air will continue to affect the South Central provinces more deeply. On land, the Northeast wind is generally level 3-4, coastal areas are strong at level 4-5, some places reach level 6, gusting to level 7. The North will maintain a state of severe cold during the day and night of November 19, the highlands will be severely cold; the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City will also turn cold.

The lowest temperature is forecast to be common: Northern region 11-14 degrees, high mountainous areas below 5 degrees; North Central region 12-15 degrees; Quang Tri and Hue city 16-19 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi weather forecast for the day and night of November 19 is that there will be rain in some places, the weather will be very cold, with the lowest temperature of 12-14 degrees. This is the deepest decrease since the beginning of the season, reflecting the strong impact of the cold air mass.

The sea area continues to have dangerous developments. In the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind will increase to level 7, sometimes level 8, gusting to level 9-10, with waves 3-5 m high, rough seas. The North East Sea (including Hoang Sa area) has winds of level 7-8, gusts of level 9-10, waves 4-6 m.

From Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the northern sea area of the Central East Sea, winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to 8-9; waves of 4-6 m. The area from Gia Lai to Ho Chi Minh City tends to gradually increase to level 6, gusting to 7-8, causing rough seas.

Detailed forecasts show that the North will maintain low temperatures of 11-14 degrees Celsius during the day and night of November 19, with some mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius; the North Central region will have 12-15 degrees Celsius; Quang Tri and Hue City will have 16-19 degrees Celsius.

On November 20, the cold air will strengthen, causing the temperature to continue to be low: the North and North Central regions will generally have 12-15 degrees Celsius, mountainous and midland areas 10-13 degrees, high mountainous areas below 6 degrees Celsius; Quang Tri and Hue City 17-20 degrees Celsius.

In addition, rain forecasts show that due to the combination of increased cold air and high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, the area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa is likely to experience widespread heavy rain, causing high risks to people's lives and production activities.

Weather forecast for Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and the South has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, locally over 50mm (the South has rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).

Da Nang area, the East of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and the North of Khanh Hoa provinces will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 100-300mm, locally over 400mm.

The area of Hue City and East Lam Dong will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 20-40mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm

The weather in the South of Khanh Hoa has moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 60-120mm, locally very heavy rain over 200mm.

On the day and night of November 19, the Central Highlands will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally over 100mm.

This type of weather can significantly affect the environment and life. The cold weather can negatively affect livestock, poultry and crops; heavy rain causes flooding in low-lying areas, risk of flash floods and landslides in steep areas.

Urban areas and industrial parks may face flooding due to heavy rain in a short period of time. At sea, strong winds, gusts of wind and big waves directly affect ships and maritime activities.

People and tourists should closely monitor weather forecasts and follow the instructions of local authorities and authorities to ensure safety.
