According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, satellite images, lightning positioning data and weather radar images show convective clouds causing thunderstorms operating in the areas of Ba Vi, Phuc Tho, Thach That, Dan Phuong, Me Linh, Dong Anh, Soc Son districts, Son Tay town in Hanoi city. This convective cloud area tends to move east and southeast, towards the inner city districts.
In the next 3 hours, the areas of Ha Dong, Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoa Kiem, Hai Ba Trung districts will have rain, showers and thunderstorms. The thunderstorm area will expand to other districts in the center of Hanoi city. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
According to the Weather application, Hanoi will have scattered thunderstorms on May 23. Temperature ranges from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
