According to the new weather bulletin from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 24 to 48 hours, the North from the night of May 22 to May 24, the Viet Bac, Northeast and Northern Delta regions are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain with common rainfall from 70-150mm, some places may exceed 250mm.

In the Northwest, the common rainfall is about 40-70mm, locally exceeding 150mm.

Weather forecast for the North Central region, from the evening of May 23 to May 24, this area will have rain with a common amount of 40-80mm, locally over 150mm.

From the evening of May 22 to May 23, the North Central region will also have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, some places exceeding 50mm.

Weather forecast for the Central Highlands and the South in the evening and night of May 22, this area will continue to have moderate rain, scattered thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20-40mm, locally exceeding 70mm.

The provinces from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan are forecast to have scattered showers, with common rainfall of 10-30mm, some places may exceed 50mm.

Warning during thunderstorms, the risk of heavy rain over 100mm within 3 hours is quite high. At the same time, dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can occur, causing the risk of flooding in urban areas, flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

The risk level of natural disasters due to heavy rain is assessed at Level 1.

Weather forecast after May 24, in the North, heavy rain will gradually decrease from the night of May 24.

The North Central region will still have moderate to heavy rain on the night of May 24, with rainfall from 15-30mm, some places exceeding 60mm, then decreasing from May 25.
