According to new weather updates from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year shows that at the time of New Year's Eve, there is a possibility of an intensified average cold air wave coming down to the North, changing the weather status compared to the previous days.
Today's weather and recent days in the North are generally cloudy in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon due to the previous cold air mass weakening and deviating to the east. This pattern is expected to last until the end of February 16 (29th day of the twelfth lunar month).
From the night of February 16th, a wave of medium-intensity cold air will come, causing Tet weather in the North to have scattered light rain, lasting until about February 19th (the 3rd day of Tet). Cold at night and in the morning, the lowest temperature is 16-20 degrees Celsius, mountainous areas in some places below 16 degrees Celsius; highest 23-27 degrees Celsius, especially the Northwest region in some places above 28 degrees Celsius.
During this period, the lowest temperature in the whole region may fluctuate from 14-17 degrees C, mountainous areas below 12 degrees C; the highest temperature is commonly 19-23 degrees C, the Northwest in some places exceeds 26 degrees C.
From February 20-22 (January 4-6 Tet), the weather forecast continues to record light rain, drizzle and scattered fog at night and in the morning, cold weather. The highest temperature is commonly 20-23 degrees C, the lowest is 16-18 degrees C; mountainous areas have places below 15 degrees C.
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue, before February 16, the Tet weather was relatively stable with light rain in some places, fog in the early morning, sunny in the afternoon. The highest temperature is commonly 24-26 degrees C, the lowest is 18-21 degrees C; in the southern area, some places reach 26-28 degrees C.
From February 17-19 (January 1-3 of Tet), due to the influence of cold air, scattered showers appeared in this area. Thanh Hoa and Nghe An are cold all day, while Quang Tri and Hue are mainly cold at night and morning. Highest temperature 21-24 degrees C, lowest 16-18 degrees C.
By February 20-22 (January 4-6 Tet), rain will decrease, sunshine will return in the afternoon; highest temperature 23-27 degrees C, lowest 18-21 degrees C.
The South Central Coast during the Tet holiday until the 6th has quite favorable weather patterns for spring travel: sunny during the day, showers in some places in the evening and at night. Especially in the north of the area, scattered rain may appear between the 1st and 3rd days of Tet. The highest temperature is commonly 26-31 degrees Celsius; especially in the 18-20. 02 period, it decreases to 24-26 degrees Celsius.
Central Highlands has little rain, sunny days, favorable for outdoor activities. Highest temperature 26-30 degrees C, in some places above 30 degrees C; lowest 16-20 degrees C, some highland areas below 15 degrees C.
Southern region maintains sunny days, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and night. Highest temperature 29-33 degrees C, in some places above 33 degrees C; lowest 21-25 degrees C.
