Tet weather across the country: Fluctuations due to increased cold air

The weather forecast for Tet is affected by the intensified cold air wave. The North and Central regions are experiencing widespread cold and rain.

According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a new intensified cold air mass is moving down to the North.

The North has rain in some places, the highest temperature is commonly 24-27 degrees C.

Forecast from around the morning of February 17 (ie New Year's Eve, early morning of the 1st day of Lunar New Year), cold air will affect the mountainous areas of the Northeast region.

From the evening and night of February 17, it will be strengthened more strongly, expanding its impact to other places in the North (except Lai Chau, Dien Bien), North Central region and some places in Central Central region.

Weather forecast from the night of February 16th to February 19th (night of the 29th to the 3rd day of Tet), the North and North Central regions will have rain, scattered light rain. From the night of February 17th to February 19th, the North and Thanh Hoa will be cold, with deep cold in some mountainous areas. The lowest temperature is commonly 16-19 degrees Celsius, in some mountainous areas below 15 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi weather during Tet, especially from the night of February 16 to February 19 (night of February 29 to the 3rd day of Tet), with scattered light rain; from the night of February 17 to February 19, it will be cold; the common lowest temperature is 17-19 degrees C.

Increased cold air also makes sea weather conditions worse during the Tet holiday.

From near dawn on February 17, the Gulf of Tonkin will gradually strengthen to level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1.5-2.5 m high. The North East Sea area, including the Hoang Sa archipelago, level 6 Northeast wind, especially the Northeast at times level 7, gusts level 8-9, strong rough seas, waves 3.0-5.0 m high.

From February 18, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau and the west of the South East Sea area, including the west of the Truong Sa archipelago, will have level 6 Northeast wind, gusts 7-8, rough seas, waves 2.0-4.0 m high.

People and tourists going to pagodas and sightseeing outdoors should prepare warm clothes and rain protection equipment, and limit long-distance travel during prolonged cold and rainy weather.

For activities at sea and along the coast, strong winds, high waves and rough seas due to cold air can directly affect the safety of sea tourism.

People and tourists need to continuously update weather forecasts to adjust their travel plans accordingly.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Tet in the South Central Coast region from February 15th to February 22nd, i.e. from December 28th to the 6th day of Tet, is generally sunny during the day, with showers in some places at night.

Especially in the North of the region, in the period from February 17 to February 19 (January 1 to the 3rd of Tet), there will be rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. From February 18 to February 20 (January 2 to the 4th of Tet), the North will be cold early in the morning and at night.

The highest temperature is commonly 27-31 degrees C; especially in the North from 18.02 to 20.02 at 25-27 degrees C. The lowest temperature is 21-24 degrees C.

For the Central Highlands region, the weather forecast throughout the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday from February 15 to February 22 shows little rain, sunny days, but cold in the early morning and night. The highest temperature is commonly 27-31 degrees C, the lowest is 16-20 degrees C, in some places below 15 degrees C.

In the South, the Tet weather forecast shows that the main pattern is sunny days, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. The highest temperature is commonly 30-34 degrees C, in the East there are places above 34 degrees C; the lowest temperature is 22-25 degrees C.
