"Silk Road" in Tri Ton
From Ho Chi Minh City, we chose a bus to get to Tri Ton at a price of 200,000 VND/person, taking 6 hours to travel.
One advantage of the tourist map in Tri Ton is that the check-in locations are quite close to each other, only a few hundred meters to a few kilometers away. Exploration becomes easier and saves time.
Choosing a homestay right in the center of Tri Ton district for 600,000 VND/2 days, we rented an additional motorbike for 150,000 VND/day to get around.
The first location we chose for day 1's itinerary was the "Silk Road".
The reason this place is called that is because this place is blessed by nature with many vast green fields interspersed with rows of palm trees - a typical tree in An Giang.
After that, we went on a long journey to nearby locations including: Elephant head rock at Co To mountain, Soai So lake, heaven gate... These are all free check-in locations, with bold features. characteristic of Tri Ton land.
On the way back, we stopped at Ta Pa lake, Ta Pa pagoda and some cafes for young people on high hills.
Ta Pa Lake is famous for its blue water all year round that many tourists come to take photos of. Ta Pa Pagoda has a staircase extending from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain with hundreds of steps, attracting many visitors to pilgrimage and visit.
When coming to Tri Ton, you should go to Tinh Bien to visit the Melaleuca forest
On day 2, we visited Tri Ton market - a famous market with many delicious and cheap dishes.
The whole group visited Hang Cong Pagoda - a famous pagoda with hundreds of years of shady trees. The pagoda is famous for its unique Khmer architecture and its main color is eye-catching light pink.
Next is Tra Su cajuput forest tourist area, a place to experience the river space. Tra Su cajuput forest in Tinh Bien, An Giang, nearly 30 km from Tri Ton. Because the road is open, it only took us about 30 minutes to get there.
Entrance fee and full tour price is 220,000 VND/person. First, the whole group experienced boating and heard stories about the history of the Melaleuca forest and notable beautiful locations.
Then, to explore more places in the Melaleuca forest, we took a motorboat. In the Melaleuca forest, there are also some notable check-in locations such as the love bridge, the thousand-step bamboo bridge, and the Melaleuca forest observatory.
One unfortunate point is that summer is not the flood season, so the scenery of the Melaleuca forest is not as beautiful as expected.
Typical cuisine
Regarding cuisine, Tri Ton, An Giang has many interesting, attractive and strange dishes. Among them are beef noodle balls, snakehead fish vermicelli, Cambodian salad, beef hot pot, noodle soup served with orange cake.
In addition, if you don't come to Tri Ton to enjoy O Thum grilled chicken, broken rice and grilled frog - 3 typical culinary dishes, then you have not returned to this land. In particular, palm beef cake is a famous dish that characterizes this land.
The prices here are quite cheap, each dish costs only a few thousand VND to more than 100,000 VND.
To summarize this trip, we spent about 2 million VND per person on the journey to explore and enjoy the land of Tri Ton..
