Da Nang is Vietnam's third largest city, offering an exciting mix of beautiful beaches, rich culture and delicious cuisine.
Day 1
Start your day with a surfing session at My Khe Beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Da Nang. With its long stretch of golden sand and constant but not too big waves, this is a paradise for surfing enthusiasts.
In addition to renting necessary equipment, there is also a quick surfing lesson service for first-time visitors. Visitors can enjoy the cool breeze and watch the picturesque sunrise.
After an exhausting morning, visitors can recharge their batteries with famous Da Nang delicacies such as Quang noodles or banh xeo.
Bep Trang Frog Quang Noodles, where Quang noodles are served on banana leaves with a pot of golden braised frogs, can surely satisfy even the most demanding diners. In addition, Mrs. Mua's Quang noodles or Huong Que Quang noodles are also ideal places to enjoy this traditional dish.
If you want to try banh xeo, diners can go to Mrs. Tinh's banh xeo restaurant on Hoang Dieu Street or Mrs. Ba Da Nang's banh xeo restaurant on Trung Nu Vuong Street, Hai Chau District, which are also great suggestions.
In the evening, spend time in the city center. A walk to see the fire-breathing Dragon Bridge, the Love Bridge, and Bach Dang walking street on the banks of the Han River... will leave an interesting mark on your journey.
Day 2
On the second day in Da Nang, visitors should visit Ngu Hanh Son - a beautiful, unique mountain with profound cultural significance. The image of 5 mountains gathered together like a hand with 5 fingers, symbolizing 5 elements in traditional Vietnamese philosophy including Thuy Son (Water), Moc Son (Wood), Kim Son (Metal), Tho Son (Earth) and Hoa Son (Fire).
In addition, Linh Ung Pagoda is located on Son Tra Peninsula, where the 67m high statue of Quan The Am will surely overwhelm visitors. According to legend, this is the pagoda that protects Da Nang from storms and brings luck to the people here.
Not only is it a place for ordinary spiritual tourism, standing from Linh Ung Pagoda, visitors can enjoy the whole poetic and peaceful sea view.
If you want to learn about local culture and history, you can visit the Da Nang Museum and the Cham Sculpture Museum. These are famous museums that attract visitors in the coastal city.
Visitors can also join cooking classes to experience the feeling of making simple local dishes by themselves. Many cooking classes also organize market tours, where visitors can choose the freshest ingredients. This activity also helps foreign visitors understand more about Vietnamese lifestyle, customs and culture.
In addition, if you celebrate New Year's Eve in Da Nang, don't miss the three fireworks displays in Hai Chau, Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts.
If you have plenty of time, you can continue your spring trip to Hoi An or Hue to enjoy the Lunar New Year holiday in a slow-paced lifestyle in the Central region.
