The Hudson Rooms - a rooftop bar located on the rooftop of Capella Hanoi Hotel - has just been named in 46th position in the Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 ranking. This year, Vietnam only has two bars honored in the Top 50.
As part of The World's 50 Best system, Asia's 50 Best Bars is considered one of the most prestigious and influential awards in the world bar industry. Unlike many awards based on nomination dossiers, the results are decided by a council of more than 300 independent experts who are bartenders, bar owners, journalists, consultants and leading culinary writers from all over Asia.
Members are only allowed to vote for the bars they directly experience within the prescribed time, based on many criteria such as beverage quality, brewing technique, creativity, service, space, atmosphere and overall experience.

If last year The Hudson Rooms first entered Asia's 100 Best Bars with the 86th position, this year reaching the Top 50 in Asia marks a breakthrough for the first hotel bar in Hanoi to achieve this achievement.
Located on the top floor of Capella Hanoi, The Hudson Rooms takes diners back to the elegant atmosphere of New York in the 1920s with Art Deco lines, matte bronze mirrors, marble and characteristic yellow light.
During the day, this place is an "oyster bar" (bar specializing in oysters and seafood) inspired by the famous Fulton Fish Market in New York with oyster towers, fresh seafood and sturgeon caviar.
When night falls, the space transforms into a high-class cocktail rendezvous with the red carpet ceremony taking place every night at 9:30 PM, bringing a stage experience.
Hidden behind The Hudson Rooms is Track 61 - a speakeasy (secret bar) only for guests who can solve puzzles to find an entrance. Inspired by the secret tunnel connecting Grand Central station with the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York history, Track 61 offers a collection of rare whiskies, premium cigars and private space for art lovers to enjoy wine.

Leading The Hudson Rooms is head bartender Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (Patrick) - Champion of World Class Vietnam 2025 - under the management of manager Sean Halse. The new cocktail menu named Express Line is built from the inspiration of the New York subway system, divided into 4 metro lines with 4 different cocktail styles, turning each glass of drink into a journey to explore the sleepless city.
The Hudson Rooms is part of Capella Hanoi's experience ecosystem. Designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley, Capella Hanoi recreates the space of a miniature Opera House, where each room, restaurant and bar tell a story about the golden age of early 20th-century performing arts.
Since coming into operation, the hotel has been continuously honored by leading tourism organizations and magazines in the world, becoming one of the luxury resort symbols of Hanoi.
The Hudson Rooms' entry into the Top 50 in Asia continues to contribute to Hanoi's clearer presence on the map of the Asian bar industry, alongside long-standing centers such as Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Tokyo (Japan) or Seoul (Korea).
