    Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum was inaugurated on December 13, 2024 in Thanh Phu commune, Cau Ke district with a total investment of nearly 20 billion VND.

    Inside the Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum, the first wax coconut tree was displayed, brought back by Venerable Thach So after a study trip in Cambodia and planted in the grounds of BotumSakor Pagoda (Cho Pagoda; Cau Ke town, Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh province) in 1924.

    Mr. Ma Duc Long, a tourist from Can Tho, shared that when passing through Tra Vinh, he felt curious about the Wax Coconut Museum so he stopped by to visit. “The museum not only provides interesting information about wax coconut but also has a beautiful space, very suitable for visiting and taking photos,” Mr. Duc Long shared.

    The number of tourists coming here to visit is very large. According to Mr. Tran Duy Linh - Head of the Management Board of Tra Vinh Wax Coconut Museum, the number of visitors has increased to about 80 - 100 visitors/day after the opening time. Most of them are tourist groups, students and pupils coming here to learn about wax coconut trees in Tra Vinh.

    “Khi moi khanh thanh (thang 12.2024), khoang 2 - 3 ngay moi co doan khach den tham quan ma da phan la dan dia phuong, cac gia dinh va doan tham quan nho. Hien nay, nhu cau tham quan vao dip Tet tang cao, bao tang thuong xuyen tiep nhung doan khach lon va rat nhieu du khach gan xa den tham quan“, ong Linh chia se them.
    “When it was first inaugurated (December 2024), there were only groups of visitors every 2-3 days, mostly locals, families and small groups. Currently, the demand for visits during Tet has increased, the museum regularly receives large groups of visitors and many tourists from near and far,” Mr. Linh added.
