Bich Dam is gradually becoming a community tourism destination. This place promises to bring new experiences to tourists and sustainable development opportunities to the people.
Journey to a small hamlet in the middle of the ocean
Bich Dam is more than 8 nautical miles (about 15km) from the center of Nha Trang City. From Phu Quy port, visitors can go by fishermen's boat at a cost of only a few tens of thousands of VND.
Mr. Bui Quoc Toan - a resident of Nam Nha Trang ward recounted that on a journey lasting more than an hour and a half, the scene of Nha Trang from afar appeared like a painting of the sea. Mixed with large and small islands, mysterious grottos and bird- quarrying areas with houses perched on the cliff.
"Coming to Bich Dam, visitors will find a coastal road that embraces a small village, clear, gentle blue sea water. People here say that the name Bich Dam comes from the turquoise color of the water all year round" - Mr. Bui Quoc Toan shared.

Destination that attracts tourists
In addition to the peaceful scenery, Bich Dam also owns many attractive landmarks such as Hon Lon lighthouse - one of the oldest lighthouses in Vietnam, Bich Dam communal house, 150-year-old banyan tree recognized as a heritage tree, Bich Son pagoda or An Thanh temple.

Cuisine in Bich Dam is also an unforgettable experience. People mainly make a living by fishing and aquaculture, so the seafood is delicious and has reasonable prices.
Wild dishes such as fish noodle soup, fish cake, tuna, pork skin, quail eggs... are priced from only 20,000 VND but rich in the flavors of the sea.
Bich Dam people are gentle and hospitable, ready for visitors to stay overnight to experience the life of fishermen.

Towards the community tourism model
In early 2025, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City (old) approved the Project for developing community tourism in Bich Dam residential group, with the goal of building a green, sustainable tourism model, linking nature conservation with improving people's livelihoods.
According to the orientation, Bich Dam will develop types of eco-tourism of islands combined with community experiences such as: relaxation, accommodation, overnight camping, trekking Gieng Mon mountain, conquering Hon Lon lighthouse, visiting the environmental protection model, or transforming into fishermen with fishing activities such as setting nets, anchoring, fishing.
