Con Heo Hill with its pristine beauty, steep cliffs and panoramic view embracing the sea and sky has become a "check-in" destination for young people when setting foot in Vung Tau (HCMC).
Located right on Bai Sau, Con Heo hill is actually a small hill protruding from the slope of Nui Nho (Tao Phung mountain). Few people expected that an abandoned stone mining area could become such a hot check-in location. The edgy beauty of undulating cliffs combined with a million-dollar sea view has turned this place from a sparsely visited spot into a paradise for virtual living enthusiasts.
The road to the hill is located at the end of alley 222 Phan Chau Trinh. The road from the beginning of the alley to the hill is about 500m long but quite steep and full of rough rocks.

The name "Con Heo hill" always makes tourists feel curious. Local people recount that this name is associated with two legends. Some people say that in the past this was a poor hamlet, suddenly one day a pig appeared on the hill, making children excitedly cheer for Con Heo hill, which became the name.
There is also a more poetic hypothesis. Because the hill is located close to the sea, often welcoming northeast monsoon winds, it is called Heo May hill, which gradually mispronounces it as Con Heo hill in a funny way.
The most special feature of this hill is the spectacular change in appearance over time. If you visit in the rainy season from May to October, the hill seems to be put on a green coat. The vegetation grows strongly from the crevices of the rocks, covering the dry gravel surface.
Conversely, when the dry season comes from November to April of the following year, this place has a desertic, dusty and rugged appearance. Grass and trees turn burnt yellow, revealing gray, thorny rocks. This bare, dry appearance inadvertently creates extremely cool and wild camera angles.

Standing from the edge of the steep hill, visitors can admire the entire Thuy Van road winding like a silk strip embracing the white sandy beach. In the distance is Hon Ba lonely amidst countless waves.
Con Heo Hill is likened to a perfect natural observatory. Dawn and sunset are the two most romantic moments here. When gentle morning sunlight reflects on the blue sea surface, or when the twilight dyes the whole sky red, standing on a high rocky peak, you will feel absolute freedom amidst vast nature.

Just raise your phone, the gravelly trails or vertical cliffs will become the perfect backdrop for shimmering photos.
The ideal time for you to visit this place is around 7 am or after 4:30 pm. However, remember to always keep a safe distance from the steep edge of the rock and maintain general hygiene.

Ms. Ngoc Nhi, a tourist from Hanoi who just had a trip to explore this place, shared: "Just in front of the gravel road leading to the hill, people guided me to park my car to walk up for safety. The parking fee is 10,000 VND/vehicle. If you drive your own motorbike up, you must have a really strong steering wheel and drive at a moderate speed because the road is quite rough and difficult to drive.
Conveniently from Pig Hill, visitors can continue to challenge themselves with the steps up to the Christ the King statue, or find a bit of nostalgia at the lighthouse nearby.
