According to the direction of Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut, the remaining 16 km of component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway must be opened to traffic before May 18, helping the entire Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to be operated synchronously with a length of about 54 km, extending from the starting point at the intersection with Vo Nguyen Giap street (Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai city) to the ending point at the intersection of National Highway 56 (HCMC).

According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters' records on May 10, at the starting point of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project at the intersection with Vo Nguyen Giap street (Phuoc Tan ward, Dong Nai city), the system of traffic signs guiding vehicles traveling from Dong Nai city to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway has been installed.
On Vo Nguyen Giap street (circulation of National Highway 1A) in both directions, directional signs for the expressway have been installed. Currently, contractors are urgently constructing the final stages of the main item such as installing sign systems, fences, and painting road markings...
The Department of Industry and Trade and the Dong Nai City Land Fund Development Center are urgently implementing the elevation of the high-voltage power line at km5+260, ensuring safety when the project is opened to traffic.

Previously, on April 29, component projects 2 and component 3 with a total length of about 37.5 km were put into operation, contributing to reducing the load on National Highway 51 and creating an important traffic connection axis between Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.
The operation of the entire route is expected to significantly shorten travel time from the central area of Dong Nai City to National Highway 56 HCMC, creating more convenient and smooth travel conditions for people and businesses.
According to calculations, the travel time on this expressway will only be about 40-50 minutes instead of about 2 - 2.5 hours when traveling on National Highway 51. However, National Highway 51 is currently overloaded and is undergoing upgrades and repairs, and traffic congestion often occurs.
