Where the 7 rivers converge
When mentioning the place name Nga Bay, many tourists recall the ancient song "Tinh anh ban chieu" by the ancient composer Vien Chau. However, few people know that this locality has richer indigenous resources, with great potential for tourism development.
Nga Bay City is considered a young urban area, with a strategic position in Hau Giang province. This is also a place to connect road traffic with provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta such as National Highway 1A; Quan Lo - Phung Hiep - Ca Mau route creates convenient traffic between the city and Can Tho, Ca Mau, Soc Trang.

Nga Bay City is also a convergence point of 7 major canals. The location of the intersection not only makes Nga Bay an important trading point, but also a place connecting the unique cultural beauty of the Mekong River. To be more precise, Nga Bay has become an important "unit" in the region.
The most prominent cultural symbol of Nga Bay is Nga Bay floating market (also known as Phung Hiep floating market). The unique market has been formed since the 20th century, becoming a bustling "stream market", where people exchange goods, especially agricultural products on boats and canoes.

Ms. Dang Thi Ly (Can Tho City) used to be a trader with many memories of Nga Bay floating market. About 30 years ago, she and her mother went back and forth to make a living by trading fruits (fruit, tangerines, mangoes) on this river. The "water child" of Nga Bay makes her miss it as much as she misses it, because sometimes it is gentle, sometimes it flows rapidly through many gateways.
"I still remember forever, in order to go through the strong flow of water, there must be a barge that dragged the large, small boats, and from there, we can add more to the canal and incision. Until the evening, we return to the boat under the market, light up the market.
