Basket boats connect each other through the streams under the cool green coconut canopy, taking visitors to explore the characteristic river and water space of the Bay Mau coconut forest in Hoi An Dong ward (Da Nang City).
During the journey, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy basket boat dances, watch people perform casting nets to catch fish and listen to Quang Ho folk songs on the river. Experiences associated with local river life contribute to creating the unique attraction of this destination.

Having nearly 10 years of attachment to the basket boat rowing profession, Mr. Phung Su (52 years old, Da Nang City) said that summer is the busiest time of year. On average, he rows about 7-8 trips per day, each trip carrying 2 passengers.
According to Mr. Su, international visitors visit almost all year round, while domestic visitors mainly concentrate during the summer vacation.
On days with strong winds or carrying tall passengers, rowing boats will be more difficult. But every day meeting tourists from many places, seeing everyone satisfied after the trip, I forget all fatigue," Mr. Su shared.
Coming to Bay Mau coconut forest for the first time, Ms. Nguyen Mai Linh (a tourist from Ninh Binh) felt that the scenery here brought a feeling of relaxation, completely different from the bustle often seen in many tourist destinations.
Sitting on a small basket boat, slowly walking under the green coconut trees makes me feel very comfortable. The space is peaceful and cool, so just admiring the scenery is enough to relax," Ms. Linh said.

Unable to hide his excitement, Mr. Hoang Canh Vinh (a tourist from Nghe An) said he was particularly impressed with the basket boat dance and the skillfulness of the boatman.
I have watched many videos online, but when experiencing it directly, I am still more impressed. The basket boat dance made me both nervous and excited, creating a memorable memory during the trip," Mr. Vinh shared.
Bringing her family from Phu Tho to the Central region for tourism, Ms. Pham Tuong Vy said that what she loves is not only the scenery but also the experiences associated with the lives of local people.
Each activity helps my family understand more about the lives of people in the riverine area. The trip is not only for sightseeing but also brings many memorable experiences. If I have the opportunity to return to Da Nang, I will still spend time visiting Bay Mau coconut forest," Ms. Vy said.
With its characteristic riverine scenery and experiences associated with indigenous culture, Bay Mau coconut forest continues to be one of the destinations attracting a large number of tourists when visiting Da Nang.
