Mr. Vu Duc Hieu (33 years old, Hanoi) often does not miss the opportunity to wear traditional costumes on the road. During his trip to Da Lat in the summer of 2024, he wore Vietnamese costumes and took souvenir photos at Lam Ty Ni pagoda.
Recently, during a trip to Beijing (China), he continued to wear Thai-era costumes when visiting the Imperial Academy.
Duc Hieu said that he was initially quite hesitant when his wife invited him to rent ancient costumes to take photos with him.
"My wife chose a different outfit from the winter version, with an extra handless thin shirt on the outside. I was partly shy, partly afraid of not having things to do. Luckily, I have a royal costume that suits my appearance, so I rented it right away, he said.
The outfit he chose has a dragon pattern on the chest, bearing the precious and sophisticated features. This is the costume of the King - the title or title of the ancient feudal system for the male princes of the Royal Family.
When wearing ancient costumes to walk in the ancient space of the Imperial Citadel, he noticed many Chinese tourists watching him with excited eyes, even giving compliments because he was suitable for the outfit and had a lot of charisma.

Accepting that he was a greedy person, whether in the Vietnamese or Korean version, the male tourist comfortably added: "I have accepted myself as that, so when I see people saying the same thing, I just find it even more funny and not think too much".
The photo of Duc Hieu wearing traditional costumes attracted nearly 80,000 interactions on social networks, more than 3,200 comments and hundreds of shares.
Some humorous opinions point out that the appearance of the male tourist is similar to a landlord or a rich man, greedy, especially reminiscent of the character Hoa Than - with the title "the first greedy tourist" in Chinese history. Some people suggested that he should try out a historical drama.
Although sometimes Duc Hieu floated about his appearance, his love for traditional costumes has never changed.
"I really like it, just having a hard time finding things that are suitable for everyone. The two sets of Vietnamese and Korean costumes that I wear are rare and fitting outfits. I am still excited whether I am called a landlord or a beggar. After all, these two names both have status and wealth, he humorously said.
According to him, each type of ancient costume has its own beauty. He especially appreciated the meticulousness in each needle and needle, each embroidered pattern, because it is not only an outfit, but also the cultural quintessence of each land.
This is the second time he has visited Co Cung, but the feeling is still the same as the first time. This architectural complex always overwhelms and makes male visitors admire it for its splendor and majesty. At the same time, he praised limiting the number of visitors each day to help the space become airy, no longer crowded like before.

He shared: "What impressed me was the ancient rental service in the area around Co Cung. Just one square meter away can see dozens of barbs and nests. I admire their communication methods, making every tourist eager to try to transform.
Among hundreds of works in Co Cung, Hieu especially loves Thai Hoa Palace and the large yard in front. He once came in the summer, but this time it was winter, when the tree canopy turned yellow and the air became chilly.
"Every season, Co Cung brings a different beauty. But this time is probably the most memorable, because I was able to live fully in the atmosphere of the past, he expressed.
The Forbidden City (Operation Museum) is the most visited destination in the world, opening a maximum of 80,000 tickets per day to preserve relics and ensure safety. Tickets are on sale at 8:00 p.m. Chinese time (19:00 p.m. Vietnam time) and are on sale 7 days in advance.
Although there is a ticket counter right in front of the gate, this place only has a notice "sold out" and reminds visitors to buy online, because the museum does not sell tickets at all during the day.
To increase the chance of success, visitors should prepare all the information they need to fill in in a separate file to copy-paste when booking tickets. Buyers must enter an email to receive the access code (with 60 seconds to fill in the code), along with personal data such as full name, nationality and passport number.
When paying, Wechat or Alipay is a faster and more stable choice than an international card. The ticket price for the peak season is 60 yuan (about 220,000 VND), the low season is 40 yuan. Students can buy tickets for 20 yuan; people aged 60 and over will receive a 50% discount; children under 6 years old and people with disabilities will receive free tickets. Some special rooms have separate tickets for 10 yuan.
Tu Cam Thanh opens 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, stops receiving customers after 3:30 pm and closes every Monday. Visitors can only enter from Ngo Mon, it takes about 4-5 hours to visit the entire relic site.
