This is a list recently released by online travel platform Agoda. Ranked 6th, Sa Pa (Lao Cai) stands out with beautiful terraced fields such as paintings, villages imbued with locality, majestic natural landscapes and unique culture.
According to Agoda, the number of searches for Sa Pa has increased by 21%, showing the growing attraction of the destination in the northern mountainous region of Vietnam.




Sa Pa is brilliant all year round with a seasonal changing scene: Spring with plum blossoms and peach blossoms blooming; the young, green autumn mixed with the silver light of early morning fog; the autumn is brilliant with yellow on terraced fields; the winter is hazy with fog, sometimes covered in white snow - a scene rarely seen in the tropics.
The vibrant highland markets also contribute to increasing the attractiveness of Sa Pa. The harmony between majestic nature and unique culture makes Sa Pa worthy of being one of the most prominent mountainous destinations in Asia.


The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province commented: "Sa Pa being honored in the top mountainous destinations in Asia not only affirms the attraction of Sa Pa on the international tourism map, but is also an opportunity for the locality to continue to promote its image and improve the quality of services".
Ms. Giang Thi Hoa, a homestay owner in Cat Cat village, expressed: " more tourists come to us, we have more income, and our children have the opportunity to study. People are also more aware of preserving their identity and the environment so that Sa Pa is increasingly beautiful in the eyes of international friends.


In addition to Sa Pa, Agoda's list includes Cameron Plateau (Malaysia), Khao Yai (Thailand), Puncak (Indonesia), Fujikawaguchiko (Japan), Kenting (Taiwan, China), Munnar (India) and Pyeongchang-gun (Korea).
This list was compiled by Agoda based on data on accommodation searches from February 15 to August 15 at destinations with a population of less than 50,000 people, in Asia's top 8 tourism markets.
