On July 10, the Lam Dong Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center said that the Phan Thiet Fishermen's Festival 2026 will take place from August 1 to August 8 with many unique cultural activities serving people and tourists.
The festival is organized by Phan Thiet ward at Van Thuy Tu Palace, roads along the Ca Ty River and many surrounding areas.
Not only preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values and folk beliefs of the local fishing community, the festival also aims to promote the image, people and culture of the coastal region, contributing to attracting tourists.
On the evening of August 1st, the opening ceremony will take place at the main stage on Pham Van Dong street with folk rituals and art programs imbued with local cultural identity.
The highlight attracting people and tourists is the main ritual part and the procession taking place on the morning of August 2.

The Mr. Sanh Order Procession Ceremony departs from the Port of Transport by boat, moves to Hon Lao to perform the traditional ritual and then returns to Con Cha estuary.
After that, the procession with more than 300 people will parade through the roads along the Ca Ty River before returning to Van Thuy Tu Palace to complete the rituals.
Tourists coming to Phan Thiet this time can also watch the festival activities taking place on Trung Trac street, Pham Van Dong street and the Ca Ty river area.

After the procession ceremony is the ritual of Tien Yet ceremony, death anniversary and worshiping spirits with the meaning of praying for national peace and prosperity, and abundant harvests.
On the afternoon of August 3rd, the 500 lantern releasing ceremony was held on the Ca Ty River. This activity continues to create more highlights for the festival space and serve people and tourists to visit.
Another notable cultural activity is the Hat Boi art performance program, an art form imbued with the cultural identity of the coastal region of the Central Coast.

The Cau Ngu festival of Phan Thiet fishing villages is a large traditional cultural and religious activity of the coastal fishing community. The festival has the meaning of honoring the South Sea god, praying for peace in the sea, safe fishing for fishermen and full boats of shrimp and fish.
With a series of traditional rituals, large-scale processions, lantern launching activities and art performances, the 2026 Cau Ngu Festival is expected to create more cultural products to serve tourists, increasing the attractiveness of Phan Thiet tourism in the summer.
