On September 14, the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward announced that it had issued a plan to organize the Nghinh Ong Thang Tam Vung Tau Festival in 2025.
The festival is expected to take place from October 3 and last until October 12. During this time, Vung Tau will organize many attractive festival and festival activities, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
In particular, the main part of the festival takes place over 3 days from October 7 to 9, starting from the Nghinh Ong Festival at Sea. Early in the morning of October 7, the rainbow rainbow of Mr. Nam Hai on the sea departed towards Nghinh Phong cape - Hon Ba Temple area and conducted a ceremony, then returned to Cau Da area.
Then there are a series of dragon and lion performances, physical exercise, coastal folk games... before the opening ceremony of the festival; the Khai Nghinh Thuy Tuong ceremony in Quang Trung street area ( Bai Truoc, Vung Tau ward). Next is the Ong's procession according to the route: Quang Trung - Truong Cong Dinh - Hoang Hoa Tham road to Thang Tam Communal House.
A series of rituals will continue to take place here such as: Sac Than Encounter Ceremony, offerings Ceremony, Dai Boi Pagoda Construction Ceremony.... and the traditional tuong performance every night, until October 9.
In addition, the festival is also vibrant with a series of attractive cultural, sports and culinary activities. For example, the walking program and sports dance festival with a scale of about 2,000 participants; The 3x3 basketball championship took place from October 4 to 6 with more than 200 athletes from 16 clubs; The Vung Tau Sea Swimming Tournament expanded with about 300 athletes.
In addition, there is the 2025 Children's painting and Exhibition Competition from October 4 to 12 at Thang Tam Communal House; Full Moon Festival; Golden bell Competition to learn about "Preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and learn about Nghinh Ong Thang Tam's historical culture.
At the same time, the Nghinh Ong Thang Tam Vung Tau Cultural - Cuisine Week will also be held from October 4 to 12 at the Revolutionary Traditional House and Quang Trung Park to serve a large number of people and tourists.
According to the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward, the Nghinh Ong Thang Tam Festival is included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List that has been announced.
By organizing festivals, it contributes to preserving and building traditional cultural values, along with local economic development, serving the spiritual life of coastal people. At the same time, this is an opportunity to promote the image of Vung Tau ward to domestic and foreign tourists, developing festivals into local tourism products.
