Golden Bridge, with its unique design in the shape of giant hands supporting a brilliant golden bridge, has become an impressive tourist symbol of Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general.
Recently, the travel community has been buzzing about a number of new pedestrian bridges in China and neighboring countries that are said to be "copycat" versions of the original.
At the Tianzi Di Park scenic area in Tonglu, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, a purple bridge attracts attention with its similar design to the Golden Bridge.
The purple version of the bridge features a white hand supporting a purple bridge. The paint job has a soft beauty that is different from the bright yellow of the Golden Bridge. The structure stands out against the backdrop of lush green trees and emerald water.
Also located in Zhejiang Province, the Tianguang Buddha Hand Bridge in the Maling Tianguan Scenic Area, Hangzhou, makes many people mistakenly think they are looking at a photo of the Golden Bridge. The Buddha's hand lifts the bridge 23 meters high, the path is 5 meters wide. From a height of more than 1,000 meters, visitors can admire the majestic surrounding mountains.
Meanwhile, the Thai Hong Tien Thu Bridge in the Co Khe Tinh Ha scenic area (Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China) also simulates the Buddha's hand. However, this architecture is designed with a hand supporting the bridge with rainbow lights and a glass surface. The bridge is 99m long, with the hand alone being 19m high.
The difference of Thai Hong Tien Thu Bridge is that the index finger and thumb of the hand are clasped together, forming a part of the dome above.
This is not the first time that the public has been stirred up by the diverse versions of Da Nang's Golden Bridge abroad. In 2022, the travel community discovered a hand-shaped bridge in the Philippines similar to Da Nang's Golden Bridge. This structure has a familiar arc shape with two giant hands supporting it, painted gray-white and with red nails.
On Vietnamese social networks, there are many opinions revolving around the appearance of constructions with designs similar to Vietnam's Golden Bridge in China. Some opinions say that, although it is a "learned" version, the constructions in China are somewhat larger, softer and more brilliant.
Others claim that the original version of Golden Bridge in Da Nang is truly unique, impressive for its authenticity and moss...
