According to Lao Dong's records, in many rural areas in Hung Yen, many ancient rice flower trees are entering their peak blooming season. Each red-orange flower with thick petals grows densely on the branches.
Not only carrying the typical beauty of the Northern countryside, the kapok flower season also evokes many childhood memories of the people here. The image of the kapok tree at the beginning of the village, next to the communal house yard or by the river has become familiar to many generations.

In the photo is a relic kapok tree in Xuan Lai communal house (An Ap commune, Quynh district, former Thai Binh province; now Dong Bang commune, new Hung Yen province). Here, there are 2 kapok trees associated with history, which are the outposts of guerrillas in 2 long-term resistance wars.

Mr. Pham Thanh Hung (in Dong Bang commune, Hung Yen province) said: "The kapok tree in Xuan Lai communal house has existed for decades. Every time flowers bloom, people in the village clearly feel the transition from spring to early summer. Every year around March, the flowers bloom bright red, looking from afar like lighting a fire in the sky. In recent years, many young people have come to take photos, so this area is also busier".
In the midst of the bustling pace of life, the color of rice flowers still retains the rustic and simple features of the countryside. Walking under the red canopy of rice flowers, beauty lovers cannot help but want to stop and admire.
