Located on the banks of the Red River, Vu Tien Commune, Hung Yen Province (formerly Hong Phong Commune, Vu Thu District, Thai Binh Province) is known as one of the traditional mulberry and silkworm growing areas still in the North.

Here, households often raise 2 types of silkworms: white silkworm and yellow silkworm. White silkworms are raised for stewing, extracting silk and yellow silkworms are raised for food.
According to the people here, silkworms are very sensitive to sunlight and pesticides, so silkworm farming is often in a separate room and has a cover to ensure temperature.
The job of raising silkworms is also known as the " job of eating rice standing", because no matter what you do, you have to be at the right time to eat silkworms, so that the silkworms are ripe early and achieve high productivity.

Not only providing a source of mulberries, this place has also become a new destination for tourists who love to experience and explore. It is easy to see beautiful images from the golden patches and radiant smiles of beauty queens, making any tourist feel sorry for them.
As a photographer, Mr. Nguyen Trong Cung (from Hung Yen) shared: "Every time I visit Hong Phong silkworm raising village, I don't need to arrange it, but it's easy to take photos with beautiful moments. The silkworm village still retains its simple and simple beauty. Coming to the communal houses of the people, the echoing laughter everywhere brings a very close and peaceful feeling of the Northern countryside".
With a convenient route and location not far from Hanoi, Vu Tien commune is very suitable as an ecological, agricultural destination, combined with traditional craft villages. You have to come here to feel, watch and listen to the words of the village elders to fully experience the typical cultural features of the craft village.
