Cherry blossom season blooms to welcome spring in Phu Tho

On spring days, crowds of tourists go up the pass, along a small road with a cliff on one side and a deep abyss of mist on the other to reach Mung hamlet. From above the hamlet, looking through the cherry blossom canopy, the terraced fields of local people are also golden with canola flowers showing off their colors, with an ancient banyan tree standing tall in the middle of the mountain.

Right at the beginning of Mung hamlet, visitors gradually see a few sparse cherry blossom trees. Cars line up on the road leading to the flower garden.

The small hamlet on the mountain peak is entering the brilliant spring season of cherry blossoms and yellow mustard greens, creating a poetic and majestic beauty that attracts tourists to visit. Going deeper into the hamlet, when the mist has gradually dissipated, the sunlight has become darker, cherry blossoms are blooming more brilliantly, creating a space full of vitality.

In the vast space, you can only hear the sound of birds in the distant forest echoing back, gentle cherry blossoms showing off their colors, clear pink sparkling under the sun, leaning beside the simple stilt houses of the Muong people.

From a pristine small hamlet located in the highest position of Cao Phong commune, Mung hamlet is gradually becoming an attractive tourist destination for tourists inside and outside the province. According to the owner of a local eatery, Mung hamlet during the flower season is a time to attract many tourists. Walking around the hamlet, homestays, glamping areas... have gradually appeared and become attractions and resorts for many tourists.

Bui Thi Huong Lien (18 years old, Thuong Coc commune), first time to Mong hamlet in the cherry blossom season. "I live more than 40km away, when I arrived in Mong hamlet, I was very surprised because I didn't think there would be a place in my hometown as brilliant with so many and beautiful cherry blossoms. I liked it so much that my friend and I took the opportunity to wear ao dai to take Tet photos here," Huong Lien (right) shared.

Colorful outfits are chosen by many tourists to check in with cherry blossoms. The number of visitors flocking to Mung hamlet has helped in recent years, besides living with corn and rice, local people also provide additional services such as eateries, homestays, and clothing rentals to increase income.

In Mung hamlet, visitors can experience renting photo costumes, or explore the typical cuisine of the Muong people such as: grilled chicken, bamboo rice... During the year, Mung hamlet is brilliant with main flower seasons: butterfly flower season, wild sunflower season, cherry blossom season and yellow mustard flower season.

Currently, the entrance fee to the cherry blossom area is 100,000 VND/person, and the entrance fee to the mustard garden is 20,000 VND/person. Tourists coming to Mung hamlet can choose to stay overnight, or if they return during the day, they need to pay attention to the time because the later it gets, the foggy mountain roads affect the view.
