One day at the end of September 2025, we followed Ms. Hua Thi Thong - a girl born and raised in Vinh Luong coastal village, now Bac Nha Trang ward - on Pham Van Dong street.

The road winding along the mountain slope, from the yacht area to Ms. Thong's coastal village. Amidst the lush green of the leaves, purple flower clusters like mountain lentils suddenly appeared, beautifying the landscape with a captivating beauty.
Ms. Thong recounted: "Landside flowers on this mountain range have existed for a long time, even before Pham Van Dong road was opened. My childhood was associated with the days of following my mother and him to the sea. Every time I look up at the mountain slopes, I am captivated by the dreamy purple color of the flowers.

According to Mr. Tran Gioi - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment - that flower is made with horn lenses, a native small tree variety, distributed widely in the mountainous areas of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan (old) and Binh Thuan (old).
The characteristic of the plant is that it grows persistently in arid areas, usually blooming in September and October every year.

In Khanh Hoa, many coral reefs can be seen on Co Tien mountain, Chin Khuc mountain, and even on some islands in Van Ninh.
Unlike the familiar langurs in urban areas, mountain langurs have small trunks and small leaves, but the purple color of the flowers is gentle and lasts for a long time.

According to Mr. Gioi, the Association is collecting and building data on this native plant species to add to the rich vegetation reserve of the locality.
For people and tourists, Pham Van Dong coastal road is already attractive because on one side is the long green sea of Nha Trang, on the other side is the mountain range.

When the flower season with purple mountain lentils reaches its most beautiful level, the natural picture becomes even more charming. Everyone passing by must slowly admire and feel calm before the gentle beauty of the sea and mountains blending together.
