According to Lao Dong, on the evenings from August 31 to September 2, many people and tourists flocked to Hang Ma Street to enjoy the early Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere right on the occasion of September 2.
Ms. Minh's family in Luong Son, Hoa Binh shared: "The weather is quite hot, I didn't think Hang Ma Street would be so crowded. The atmosphere here is bustling, my children love it. The goods and toys are diverse and rich."
Many young couples choose to "date" on Hang Ma Street, both to enjoy the Mid-Autumn atmosphere and to take souvenir photos to show off to friends.
Mai and Linh, tourists from Ninh Binh, said: "The atmosphere at Hang Ma is exactly like the traditional Hanoi of old. I often see it on TV, but now I have the chance to visit Hanoi and witness it with my own eyes."
Some tourists said they could not drive into the street because of the large number of people and vehicles right from the beginning of the roads leading to Hang Ma. Most locals and tourists chose to park their vehicles in parking lots around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and walk to easily shop and take photos.
