On August 1, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, Chairwoman of Dang Thuy Tram Commune People's Committee, said that the 2026 Thao Nguyen Festival with the theme "Touching Clouds - Touching Memories - Touching the Future" will take place from August 7-9 at Bui Hui Thao Nguyen, promising to bring a space of harmony between nature, culture and history, contributing to promoting the image of the unique mountainous land.

According to the plan, the main activities of the festival will take place in two days, August 8 and 9, in Bui Hui Prairie and some locations in Dang Thuy Tram commune. In parallel with that is a field survey program and a seminar on developing trekking tourism products (walking to explore mountains and forests) from August 7 - 9, 2026.
The highlight of the festival is the opening art program "Touching the Clouds" on the evening of August 8; art kite performance "Flying on the Green Land"; fashion show "Sac Vo Thao Nguyen" with the participation of Miss Tourism Identity Vietnam 2026 beauties; cultural, culinary and camping space "Fire in the Clouds"; along with an OCOP product display area, local agricultural products and creative products "Bui Hui Cloud Market".

Within the framework of the festival, visitors also have the opportunity to hunt clouds, watch the sunrise, experience trekking, explore natural landscapes, learn about the cultural identity of the Hre people and interact with the local community.
According to the Organizing Committee, the theme "Touching clouds - Touching memories - Touching the future" is a xuyên suốt message, connecting the pristine beauty of Bui Hui Prairie with the historical value associated with Hero of the People's Armed Forces, martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram, and at the same time expressing the aspiration to develop green and sustainable tourism on the basis of nature and local culture.
Previously, Dang Thuy Tram Commune People's Committee organized a preliminary survey to build a trekking tourism product (walking to explore mountains and forests) with the theme "Awakening the green road", as part of a series of activities preparing for the 2026 Steppe Festival.
Through surveys, the units have proposed many solutions to build a unique trekking route, associated with protecting forest resources, preserving local cultural identity and developing green and sustainable tourism.

Bui Hui is a vast steppe located at an altitude of nearly 700 m above sea level, belonging to Dang Thuy Tram commune, Quang Ngai province. This place has high hills submerged in white clouds, green meadows stretching to the horizon.
This is an ideal place to hunt clouds, enjoy fresh air, suitable for groups of friends or families to organize weekend picnics.
