On the morning of September 1, at Kien Giang River, Quang Tri Province, the 2025 Traditional Rivership Racing and Boating Festival took place to celebrate the Great Festival in a bustling and bustling atmosphere.
From early morning, many people and tourists flocked to Mui Viet area, the starting point of the race and along both banks of Kien Giang river to cheer and stir up the festival atmosphere.
After the Opening Ceremony, the racing teams departed from Mui Viet location, when the women's racing boat arrived at Phong Xuan bridge, the men's swimming boats also departed immediately afterwards.
To ensure security, order and traffic safety, the Traffic Police and local police are on duty to direct traffic on traffic routes around Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province.
The boat racing festival on the Kien Giang River is a prominent cultural highlight, gathering children from other countries and tourists from all over the country. Through the Festival, it aims to honor and promote the traditional cultural values of celebrating the National Day of Independence on September 2 in the homeland of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
