On the occasion of September 2, many localities in Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously organized the Independence Day in a bustling, solemn and warm atmosphere of solidarity. From residential areas to schools, local headquarters, a series of cultural, artistic, sports activities, social security care and the inauguration of the celebration project have been deployed, attracting a large number of people to participate.
This is a series of activities in the first peak period (August 25 - September 2) of the "R River Youth - Ethnicity Union Festival" program launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The series of activities aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and to welcome the Party Congresses and the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
In Binh Thanh ward, the Independence Tet Festival took place with a solemn ceremony, including the flag-raising ceremony and the Vietnamese comedy - Proud to take the next steps. On this occasion, the National Flag project was presented, along with 30 great solidarity gifts sent to disadvantaged households.
The festival was exciting with a culinary competition of 3 regions, a contest for arranging flowers of Solidarity for Binh Thanh and Love. The locality also launched 3 projects responding to the movement of the City of colorful flowers. The total value of the contents is 106 million VND.
Dong Thanh Commune organizes the Independence - Warm Love Tet Festival with many rich activities such as folk dance performances, semaphore, and 0 VND booth. The locality awarded scholarships, 50 bicycles to children and 100 gifts to people in need, with a total value of 203.5 million VND. At the same time, launching 2 projects of the National and Civilized Flag Road - clean, beautiful - safe.
Many other localities also simultaneously decorated flags and flowers, organized a Great Unity Meal, inaugurated a new project, and held highlight activities such as the 2.9 performance of semaphore. All have created a vibrant, cohesive atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity in the community.
In the first peak period, as of the morning of August 30, 102 units registered to organize 316 diverse activities, with a total value of so so bo statistical care of about 6.8 billion VND. The series of activities not only practically celebrates major holidays, but also contributes to strengthening solidarity and compatriotism in the community, affirming the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building a civilized, modern and loyal Ho Chi Minh City.
The Riverside - Ethnic Reunited Festival took place with 4 peak periods. In particular, the second round of the Civilized - Modern - meaningful City Festival took place from September 20 to October 20.
