Nestled at the southeast foot of Hon Heo peninsula, about 60km from the center of Nha Trang, Ninh Van fishing village (Dong Ninh Hoa ward, Khanh Hoa province) still retains its rare pristine beauty. Not as bustling as famous tourist destinations, this place attracts tourists with the slow pace of life of a coastal fishing village, peaceful space and beautiful scenery.
As a person from Khanh Hoa, Mr. Luong Phong said that although he has gone to many beaches, Ninh Van still leaves a very unique mark. According to him, the sea here is gentle like a mirror, the water is clear and the bottom can be seen, wading on the beach in the morning, sitting under the coconut shade sipping coffee in the afternoon and watching the sunset in the afternoon is enough to feel slow, not chaotic life.
In the morning, the fishing village wakes up in a bustling atmosphere as night fishing boats return to port one after another, bringing all kinds of fresh seafood. People are busy removing nets and classifying fish and shrimp, creating a typical simple working scene of the sea area.
By noon, the pace of life slows down, the whole village almost only has the sound of waves crashing and the sound of the wind carrying the saltiness of the ocean. As evening falls, some fishermen are busy preparing for the night sea trip, young children playing by the sea, the sunset dyes the water golden, creating a peaceful scene.
Visiting the fishing village, tourists can cycle around the village, experience night octopus fishing, paddle SUP to watch the sunset, dive to explore the underwater ecosystem or learn about the historical relic of Hon Heo unnumbered wharf. When the tide recedes, many people also like to follow fishermen to catch sea urchins and octopuses near the shore.
Ms. Tran Hong, a tourist from Hanoi, said that Ninh Van fishing village is the destination that impressed her the most on her journey to explore Khanh Hoa.
The scenery here is really beautiful. On one side is the clear blue sea, on the other side are the mountains embracing the bay, interspersed with boats and rafts raising seafood, creating a typical picture of the coastal fishing village. Just standing and watching the sea or walking around is enough to feel peace and relaxation," Ms. Hong shared.
What she loves most is the friendliness and simplicity of the local people, everyone is welcoming and ready to guide when tourists need it.
She also assessed that the cost of food and living in the fishing village is quite comfortable. With only about 100,000 VND, tourists can enjoy many local dishes such as ginseng sweet soup 7,000 VND, banh beo 5,000 VND/plate, milk tea 10,000 VND/cup, or a full bowl of fish vermicelli and banh canh priced at about 25,000 VND.
Currently, Ninh Van fishing village has added homestays, guesthouses, eateries and some services to serve tourists. However, the number of accommodation establishments is still limited, suitable for small groups under 30 people. This contributes to helping this place maintain its inherent peace, avoiding excessive tourism.
