    Thien An spent 2 weeks developing ideas on paper, sketching with painting thinking to shape the overall composition and emotions for the new work on the occasion of the upcoming April 30th National Liberation and Reunification Day.

    Through fondant material - soft but versatile, each work gradually becomes a "living statue", where shapes, colors and details together tell stories imbued with Vietnamese cultural imprints.

    The work "Khuyet" was born from a simple question about a mother's dream. This is a work within the art cake project "Vietnam's Essence".

    The work recreates images of soldiers, tunnels and Vietnamese heroic mothers, recreating wartime memories with emotional visual language.

    According to the 26-year-old, the biggest challenge is not the miniature details in the "tunnel", but how to make the cake touch the audience's emotions.

    Especially, in the mother's face part, he not only focuses on the similarity in lines but also tries to express the depth of emotion, creating emotional highlights for the entire work.

    It takes about 2 months to complete, the cake is made through many stages from brainstorming ideas, sketching to shaping and completing details. For Thien An, this is one of the most favorite works, marking a unique direction when combining painting and cuisine, creating products imbued with Vietnamese identity.
