Ali Thabet, General Director of Milano Travels & Tours, said: "With the upcoming World Cup, this is the right time to promote the beauty of Qatar because many different tourism projects have been launched and are looking towards the future."
One of the main areas that Qatar will focus on after the World Cup is tourism. The country has spent nearly 10 billion USD on 8 World Cup stadiums and built many infrastructure including roads, metro systems and expanded airports and many other platforms.
Qatar has invested nearly $300 billion in its infrastructure and is confident in the long-term economic benefits of the investments, according to Bloomberg data. Current projects will also contribute to achieving Qatar's National Vision targets to 2030.
Investing in infrastructure will also continue to bring many benefits even after the tournament takes place. FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Executive Director Nasser Al Khater has previously said that through this tournament, Qatar hopes to show its rapid development from a small Gulf country to a country with a significant influence in the Middle East, not only an energy exporting power but also a cargo transit hub and strengthening the economy.
