On the afternoon of May 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, along with the Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day and International Labor Day this year, creates a long holiday, promoting increased tourism demand throughout the region.
Ho Chi Minh City promotes the advantage of regional linkage, forming a diverse chain of destinations including urban - sea - ecological - cultural, so the number of visitors has increased sharply, especially domestic visitors.
In 9 days (April 25 to May 3), international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City are estimated at 19,000; domestic visitors are estimated at 1.5 million. Total tourism revenue during this period is estimated at 8,700 billion VND.

In particular, during this time, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry has supported the reception of MICE tourist groups from Indonesia, visiting the city from May 1 to May 9, with a scale of about 890 guests.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism assessed that in the city center area, the number of visitors increased sharply, concentrated at attractions, events and entertainment services. The trend of inner-city, short-day, self-sufficient (staycation) tourism is increasing.
At the same time, a clear differentiation between customer segments is recorded. Specifically, the general customer group prioritizes reasonable costs, while the mid- and high-end group tends to seek new experiences such as night tours, waterway tourism or helicopter sightseeing.
In the Vung Tau area, the trend of early booking and short-term stays (2 - 3 days) increased sharply.
The number of tourists maintains the upward momentum, room occupancy rates at locations such as Vung Tau, Long Hai, Ho Tram reach high levels. Visitors mainly come from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, focusing on resort activities, swimming and entertainment.

However, in the first two days of the April 30th and May 1st holidays, in some beach areas of Vung Tau ward and Tam Thang ward, garbage and tar appeared, affecting the tourist experience.
Immediately after that, local authorities and related units deployed measures to collect and treat, and at the same time strengthen inspection, monitoring and control of sources, in order to ensure a clean and safe marine environment.
In the long term, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that it will continue to coordinate with relevant units to research and apply scientific and technological solutions to identify and handle the situation of tar appearing cyclically, towards sustainable solutions in management and response to ocean waste.

In the Binh Duong area, the number of intra-regional tourists and visitors during the day recorded growth. Ecotourism products, craft villages, entertainment and weekend tourism continue to be effective. The trend of family and small group trips is increasing, combining entertainment, experience and shopping activities.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism assessed that during this year's holiday, the tourism trend also clearly shows a two-way nature, Ho Chi Minh City is both a tourist destination and a transit center for a large number of people traveling to neighboring localities, leading to certain pressure on traffic infrastructure during peak hours.
However, the system of accommodation, transportation and basic services basically meets the needs of tourists well, without prolonged overload or unreasonable price fluctuations.
