Ho Chi Minh City focuses on developing quality tourism products, diversifying experiences and strengthening promotion to attract international tourists.

On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed a large number of international visitors to visit prominent destinations such as Independence Palace, City Post Office, War Remnants Museum. Not only individual tourists, many international tourist groups also choose the city as a stopover in their travel journey.

Recorded at tourist attractions in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, the atmosphere is always bustling. Mr. Evan (Australian tourist) shared that he was very impressed with the large number of visitors at Independence Palace, and at the same time, had the opportunity to learn more about Vietnamese history.

Besides daytime attractions, many international tourists also experience the night festival atmosphere, including fireworks viewing activities to celebrate April 30th in Ho Chi Minh City.

To continue to enhance the attractiveness of destinations, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour Company said that the city needs to promote the application of technologies such as VR, AR at historical sites to increase interaction, especially with young tourists and international visitors. Building vibrant digital museums will contribute to renewing cultural tourism experiences.

Along with that, the development of in-depth night tourism products such as real-scene performances combined with high-class cuisine on the river is expected to increase tourist spending.

Ms. Thu also proposed strengthening destination communication by segment, instead of general promotion, it is necessary to build target marketing campaigns suitable to the tastes of each market. For example, it is possible to emphasize cuisine and shopping for Asian customers, while focusing on history and conservation factors for European customers.

In addition, promote regional linkages and develop MICE tourism. When combining urban products and regional connections well, Ho Chi Minh City can become a destination for complete experience for international tourists and businesses.

Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that with the advantage of expanding territorial boundaries and resource potential, the city is implementing many long-term solutions to develop tourism, promote and strengthen regional linkages.

Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry determines not to compete with cheap prices but to focus on improving quality and differentiated experiences, aiming to build an image of a safe, friendly, attractive and professional destination, meeting the increasing needs of domestic and international tourists.
