Two Spanish tourists were killed and three others injured in a hot air balloon accident on October 18 at a popular tourist destination of Cappadocia in Nevsehir province, Central Turkey.
According to Reuters, the hot air balloon was carrying 28 passengers and 2 tour guides, taking off from Avanos district at sunrise. Initial investigation shows that the hot air balloon crashed while landing in the Killik area due to unexpected strong winds.
Provincial Governor Nevsehir said the injured had been taken to the hospital and were not in danger of death. Currently, authorities are continuing to expand the investigation into the cause of the accident.
