In the first 6 months of the year, Can Tho achieved tourism revenue of VND 5,450 billion

Can Tho - In the first 6 months of 2025, the city welcomed more than 6.3 million visitors, over 2.7 million overnight visitors; revenue was about 5,450 billion VND.

The above improvement figures were reported at the Conference of tourism businesses and tourism product exhibition and introduction held on the afternoon of July 8. This is an event to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Tourism Industry (09.7.1960 -9.7.2025)

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, emphasized that the tourism industry has affirmed its role as a comprehensive economic sector, actively contributing to sustainable growth, job creation and promoting economic restructuring.

Can Tho City today, with a large development space enriching resources, identity, human resources and raw material areas for tourism development, promises to become a center for tourism, culture and rivers in the Mekong Delta.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly advise the city leaders to develop a plan to organize diverse tourism activities and festivals.

For travel agencies, it is necessary to increase training of quality tourism human resources, ensure good service for domestic and foreign tourists, increase investment in upgrading new facilities and products and services.
