On May 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that on the fourth day of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the whole province still welcomed quite a lot of tourists to have fun and relax.
According to estimates, on May 3, the whole province welcomed more than 210,000 visitors, with total tourism revenue estimated at more than 170 billion VND.
Of which, Vung Tau welcomed about 90,000 visitors, with revenue of more than 81.8 billion VND; Xuyen Moc welcomed more than 78,800 visitors, with revenue of more than 48.3 billion VND... Con Dao alone welcomed only more than 3,700 visitors but revenue reached nearly 17.9 billion VND.
The number of visitors to Ba Ria - Vung Tau on the 4th day of the holiday increased by more than 22%; and revenue increased by more than 23.7% over the same period.
According to records, on May 2 and 3, Ba Ria - Vung Tau welcomed a large number of visitors but traffic in the area was mostly quite airy. Light congestion occurred in event-organizing areas such as Bai Sau area, Vung Tau city; Ho Tram area, Xuyen Moc district.
At noon on May 4, traffic in the areas was still clear at the gateways to and from Vung Tau City and on National Highway 51.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Hoang - Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee - commented that despite welcoming a large number of visitors during the holidays, business activities, services, security and order in Vung Tau are guaranteed.
After 4 days of holiday, Vung Tau welcomed more than 320,000 visitors to relax, recording a drowning case that was quickly supported by rescue forces in a timely manner. The hotline of Vung Tau City received more than 30 calls but mainly requested support, without any reflection on the situation of ripping off.
