On June 11, Vung Tau Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that it had issued a plan to implement activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.
Among them, there are many activities organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in Vung Tau ward such as: commemorative photo exhibition from July 1st to the end of July 11th; high-altitude fireworks display from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on July 2nd at Tam Thang Tower Square; Food Industry Week from June 26th to July 5th.
In addition to events organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Vung Tau ward also organizes events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city named after Uncle Ho, and the 1st anniversary of the establishment of Vung Tau ward at Quang Trung Bai Truoc park; organizing pickleball tournaments; summer activities integrating reading culture; organizing and launching children's chess tournaments in the summer of 2026, children's painting, children's football tournaments...
Vung Tau Ward People's Committee also requested relevant units to seriously and synchronously implement activities according to the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Culture and Sports. At the same time, widely disseminate information among officials, party members and people about the historical and cultural traditions, the construction and development process of Ho Chi Minh City; arouse pride, solidarity, and responsibility to build a civilized, modern, and meaningful locality. In addition, activities need to be organized practically, economically, and effectively; creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for people and tourists in the locality.
