According to some tourists , besides entertainment, cultural and festival activities, museums are ideal attractions for locals and tourists who want to visit a cultural and historical space.
During the National Day holiday on September 2, museums in Da Nang are open throughout the year to serve visitors' needs for sightseeing and learning about culture and history.
In particular, Da Nang Museum has displayed a rich variety of artifacts, vivid with recreated spaces, expressed from the perspective and methods of modern museology.
Many original documents and artifacts of typical historical and cultural value, and rare antique collections are introduced.
Among them are more than 1,900 original artifacts collected since the city's liberation until now. Visitors can learn about Da Nang city during the two resistance wars against French and American invaders and the process of formation and development through the periods.
In addition to the exhibits on display, Da Nang Museum also posted a video titled “Hai Van Quan - The World's Most Majestic Pass” via the Podcast channel “Museums and Stories” to introduce visitors to the majesty of Hai Van Quan.
At the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, the number of visitors during the first two days of the holiday reached 220. It is expected that during the four days of the holiday, there will be nearly 500 visitors to the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.
Mr. Dang Thanh Vinh, a resident of Da Nang, said: “On September 2, my friends and I visited the Museum of Fine Arts. Partly because this place has a spacious space, many images of cultural and artistic value are displayed.”
The Museum of Fine Arts is currently exhibiting a short-term special exhibition introducing works of art about the beauty of the land and people of the Central Highlands.
During the 4-day National Day holiday this year, many parents also brought their children to visit the Military Zone 5 Museum in Da Nang City.
Here, parents shared and created conditions for their children to learn about historical periods and artifacts displayed at this museum.
Mr. Dang Quang Tan, a resident of Da Nang City, brought his daughter to the Military Region 5 museum early in the morning.
“Previously, my child only learned from books and watched images of Uncle Ho on TV, so now that we have a holiday, I took him to this museum so he can see for himself where Uncle Ho worked and rested,” said Mr. Tan.
Not only local people and tourists, but also many students from universities in Da Nang City came to visit and take souvenir photos at the Military Zone 5 Museum.
According to the Military Zone 5 Museum, recently many domestic and foreign tourists have come to visit and study here. This is also a red address to educate historical traditions and national defense knowledge for all people, especially for the younger generation.
