Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on coordination and facilitation for organizing the 2025 Kathe Festival for Cham people in the province.
Accordingly, the Kate Festival is one of the major, typical festivals of the Cham people, imbued with traditional cultural identity.
Organizing the annual festival is a religious and spiritual activity that shows the people's respect and gratitude for the gods.
At the same time, I pray for favorable weather, good harvest, prosperous and happy life.
This year's Kate Festival takes place over 3 days, from October 20 to 23, with the main ceremony held on October 21 at Cham temples and towers in the province.
To ensure the festival takes place solemnly, safely and in accordance with regulations, the Provincial People's Committee requests relevant departments and branches, together with the People's Committees of communes and wards: Phuoc Hau, Ninh Phuoc, Phuoc Huu, Ninh Hai, Thuan Nam, Do Vinh and Bao An, to perform well the related work contents based on their assigned functions and tasks.
During the implementation process, if any problems arise or arise, the units must promptly report to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions for synthesis, consultation with the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction.
The People's Committees of localities are assigned to guide and create conditions for the Cham Cham Cham Provincial People's Council, the Planning and Organizing Committee of the Cham Temple and Tower areas, the Festival Organizing Committee, and officials, civil servants and followers to organize the festival solemnly, safely, economically and in accordance with legal regulations.
In particular, the People's Committee of Ninh Phuoc commune will coordinate to organize activities to preserve and promote the artistic value of making Bau Truc Cham pottery and Weaving My Nghiep brocade through competitions and traditional craft performances during the festival.
